Ants in the Cave
Ants in the Cave is a simulation game showcasing emergent behaviors of ants in a procedurally generated cave using cellular automata algorithm. Players observe and influence ants' actions indirectly while they collect food and expand the colony.
[Controls]
Use sliders on the HUD to set values for cave formations, ants and food sources.
Left Mouse Button - Place Obstacles
Right Mouse Button - Create Wind Zones to change the ants trajectory
[Known Issues]
- Food Sources and Ant Colony may frequently spawn inside the walls making it impossible to complete the simulator. Keep generating the level using different values until all elements are spawned in the open space.
- Using obstacles over ants makes them trapped inside it. Try placing the obstacles in the path of the ants. If any ants are stuck in the obstacles, use wind zones to get them out.
